We have exterior shutters on our house, and the problem is the birds get behind them and build nests. They're a nuisance and they pop the fastener pegs out so the shutters fall down. We recently paid a guy to do some refastening and adding foam behind the shutters to keep the birds out. It didn't work. We wasted so much money.
Do you have this problem and if so, what fixed it?

I know they make bird netting that could be easily attached and hidden on the edge of the shutters, the issue might be securing it to the house side.
